Renovations
Renovations regardless of the nature of the building are always challenging projects. The task usually involves applying modern building practices and materials to buildings from a different period and often the methods of its original construction are no longer normal practice. It is also normal that the building is no longer compliant with current codes and standards therefore retrospective compliance work is not uncommon. In some instances a complete demolition and rebuild is the most efficient option. Denney Building Design has undertaken numerous renovation projects with the philosophy that using the existing forms and structural elements to guide the design is best practice.
